Hendrick Home for Children, Abilene, TX
Hendrick Home for Children cares for children who, for various reasons, cannot live with their biological families. The Home’s caring staff teaches children how to live happy and successful lives by emphasizing intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. The fifty-acre main campus has three family-style cottages and 14 apartments for single parents and their children through the Family Care Program. The River Ranch program cares for approximately eight boys on a 43,000-acre cattle ranch. The After Care Program is designed to assist Hendrick Home graduates who are enrolled in college or vocational school, ensuring that they are economically self-sufficient and are able to provide an appropriate standard of living for themselves.
