Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, Boys Ranch, FL
Born of a vision by two Florida Sheriffs and founded by the Florida Sheriffs Association in 1957, the Youth Ranches’ statewide network of care has served thousands of Florida’s needy and deserving children. Dedicated to the prevention of juvenile delinquency and the development of lawful, productive citizens, the Youth Ranches includes four residential child-care campuses and two camps helping to restore hope, fulfill dreams, and prepare boys and girls for the future. Three campuses also have a Learning Center on campus for children needing educational requirements beyond the public school setting. Additionally, community-based services provide mentorship programming, camping programs such as traditional summer camps, independent living programs, in-school programming, and community camps, along with opportunities for children aging out of the foster care system. Emphases for children are placed based on the Youth Ranches’ philosophy of work, study, pray, and play.
