In a family environment, Children’s Homes, Inc. helps at-risk youth from Arkansas and other locations across the country. Family group homes staffed by married couples trained to mentor children in a structured environment teach new skills for healthier family living. Balcom Learning Center is an on-campus alternative learning environment with the goal of returning youth to the traditional school environment. 4-H programs, equine therapy, and Pathfinders teaches relationship skills and values such as self-esteem, personal and family responsibility, cooperation, problem-solving, trust, communication, and leadership.
