NAPSEC: The National Association of Private Special Education Centers
NAPSEC is a nonprofit association whose mission is to represent private special education programs and affiliated state associations, and to ensure access for individuals to appropriate private special education programs and services as vital components of the special education continuum. The association consists of private early-intervention services, schools, residential therapeutic centers, and adult living programs that serve both privately and publicly-placed individuals with disabilities.
AACRC: American Association of Children’s Residential Centers

NYDIC is a comprehensive Web site for youth workers with interest in any and all of the following areas: funding, programming, research, policy, jobs, and training opportunities. NYDIC is a project of the National Collaboration for Youth/The National Human Services Assembly.
Life Tools Foundation
Life Tools is a nonprofit foundation based in the Netherlands that promotes the growth of youth villages (large-scale residential education and care institutions) which improve the survival chances of children in need. The organization exchanges practical know-how with NGOs, international shelter organizations, and child-care specialists. It promotes awareness and support for the large-scale youth village model. Through documenting the stories and daily experiences of children and teachers living in youth villages, the Life Tools Foundation shows the intrinsic value of this schooling system.
